Background

Valizant has implemented Anaplan for Fortune 500 organizations since 2015. Since then, it has designed the promotion paths, sat in the approval meetings, and helped customers assemble the evidence when their auditors asked for it.

That is an unusual place to start a software company from, and it is the reason this particular product exists. The governance problem was not identified through market research. It was encountered, repeatedly, in enough landscapes and enough industries that it was clearly structural.

Why we could build it

Valizant is a product organization as much as a services one. We have built and operated multitenant applications for years, including packaged Anaplan applications delivered out of the box to multiple customers.

Why we built it

We kept watching capable teams pay for change twice: in the scramble when a promotion failed or quietly broke something, while planners worked from a model nobody could vouch for, and again in the weeks before an audit, rebuilding the record of decisions they had made correctly. We built Assurance to give them control of the process: a structured workflow every promotion follows, evidence collected at each step, and a record the system produces as the work happens. Its job is to answer, at any point, the question the business and the auditor are both asking: was what's running approved?

Ed founded Valizant in 2015. Before that he spent five years at Steelwedge Software as VP Product Marketing and Planning, and previously as VP Solutions Consulting. Earlier he co-founded Mitrix with Mitsui & Co. and led it. Mitrix, later Amitive, was a SaaS supply chain platform acquired by GXS, now part of OpenText.

George Mulling

George has led business development and alliances at Valizant since 2015. He has spent his career in supply chain technology and partner alliances, including VP Business Development at Mitrix and alliance leadership roles at SDL, Lionbridge, and Arvato North America.

Octavio Garcia

VP, Engineering

Octavio has led engineering at Valizant since 2018. He spent six years at Pipeline Software as a software development manager and lead engineer, and was a senior research engineer at Amitive.

How we work

Valizant continues to deliver Anaplan implementation and professional services. Assurance is not a departure from that work; it is what the work produced. The implementation practice remains where the governance problem is tested and where the product is used first.
